JOS FILM & TECHNICAL ACADEMY is an institution of higher learning founded/established and registered with CAC and the Ministry of Education of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the year 2023. JoFTA is a National Diploma and Higher National Diploma awarding institution which offers programmes/courses approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) as its main curriculum. We also run Pre-ND and Professional Certificate Courses.

JoFTA provides the best quality and affordable education to all interested individuals. JoFTA stands on the solid rock of quality education and the tenets of the philosophy of education. We believe in the capability and capacity of the individual mind. We believe in the development of the individual’s personality for self-reliance and self-realization for the betterment of the society.

JoFTA also believes in the overall equipping and empowering of the human mind with contemporary skills to enable him/her stand strong and excel and to become relevant in the development and growth of the society. Therefore, JoFTA hope to equip and empower the individual to attain the desired objectives of education and the society by becoming useful in nation building.

The management team is made up of ten (10) young, brilliant and agile personalities who possess the passion and hope of achieving the vision and objective of the institution. They also possess the same dynamic and holistic concept of equipping and empowering the generation of JFTItes.

The GAC

The GAC also known as The Guidance and Advisory Council of the Institute is a well-thought-out initiative of the Management Team to put together individuals/personalities from within and outside the school community to proffer meaningful guidance and advise on the day-to-day running of the institute.

This is a Council of great minds, people with extant pedigree in the field of education, politics, religion, tradition and life in general. They were carefully chosen based on their track records, wealth of experience and immense contributions to their fatherland.

The GAC is made up of nine (9) personalities drawn from all works-of-life which will serve as strong pillars in the four corners of the institution - to guide and advise her in the way to run the institution administratively and also oversee the operations/plans of the institute. The GAC will continue to exist as long as Jos Film and Technical Institute exist.

For the purpose of equipping and empowering our students, we also consider the entrepreneurial potentials of these courses so that each and every student will graduate with a certificate that can serve him/her dual purposes - to either secure a job/be employed or starts a business/be an employer of labour.

General Entry Requirements

The general entry requirements for the NID programme are:

a. Post-Secondary School Leavers with 5 Credit level passes in SSCE or equivalent, who are desirous of acquiring relevant employable skills.

b. Unemployed or under-employed graduates looking for requisite employable skills.

c. Employed graduates who desire relevant or additional working skills.

d. Those out of school for a long time, in line with Government desire for open access to reskilling and upskilling of the nation’s workforce as part of Life Long Learning (LLL).

PROCEDURES FOR STUDENT’S REGISTRATION PROCESSES

This list is to guide all students in the registration procedures/steps for orderliness and proper documentation. Please endeavour you follow through the procedures strictly.
